A rules language for strategies that a person can read, and an engine that tests them on live prices before any money is involved.

Every order is sized and checked against the account's limits before it reaches the broker. When a check can't be made, the trade is refused.
Execution
Fault-tolerant services that connect to brokers, place and manage orders, and recover on their own from dropped connections.

Limits come first. A stop-loss sits at the broker on every order.
Honest records
Results are dated and labelled for what they are. Simulated results never pass as real ones.
